Sophia Lopez joined The Cosmonaut in August 2025. She currently serves as news editor. Outside of school she enjoys taking taekwondo classes, and she has achieved the rank of blue belt. She likes to read books that fall into the fiction category and plays Call of Duty: Mobile. Her favorite movie franchise is How to Train your Dragon, and she likes to spend Friday nights watching both of her brothers’ soccer games. She has dedicated herself to her school’s high school Associated Student Body (ASB) and National Honor Society (NHS) because she believes in dedication and reaching for every given opportunity.
